Q- How many obamanites does it take to change a light bulb?

A- Hundreds of thousands of them, each one a lying politician, an unnecessary bureaucrat or an over paid member of the government employees union, who’s primary purpose is to fill out a dozen government forms, in triplicate, in order to pass the task of changing the light bulb on to the next person in the chain, thus costing the American taxpaying citizens millions of their hard earned dollars and insuring that the light bulb will never be changed until B.O. and his Social(ist) Democrat cohorts can pass a new law that mandates that every American replaces all of his or her own perfectly good, very dependable and relatively cheap incandescent light bulbs with those twisty, comparatively expensive CFLs (compact fluorescent lamps), that produce a harsh light, have an all too common tendency to over heat and catch on fire, and require special disposal procedures in order to prevent the mercury and other toxic substances in them from getting into the environment and poisoning us all.

Okay... So maybe it isn't very funny. Call it "Black Comedy" or "Dark Humor". You know what I mean. One of those things that that rather than making you say "That's funny", it makes you say "There's something funny about that". After all, there really isn't anything amusing about what B.O. and the rest of this "Blame America first" administration has been doing to this great nation is funny.

This is what is wrong with too many Republican politicians

This video of Tom Colburn seems to be an example of exactly what is wrong with most Republican politicians.

It appears that Mr. Coburn want to be seen as a nice guy. The problem with that is that in political battles, nice guys finish last.

He acts as though he is just trying to be "honest" about what the opposition is saying and doing. Thus, like a lawyer trying to get his client off on a technicality, he defends what the bill "says", without following up with a description of the clear and undeniable consequence of the bill "says". The problem is that by doing so, he present only a half truth, and a half truth is a whole lie. The whole truth is that any American who absolutely refuses to abide by every dotted “i” and every crossed “t” within the obamacare bill, especially the mandate to buy health insurance, will end up going to jail unless they back down.

Mr. Colburn states that that it is not the intent of the mandate to put Americans in jail. Well it is not the intent of laws against murder to put people in jail either. The intent of those laws is to discourage people from murdering other people. But these laws also give the judicial system the authority and power to punish those who commit murder; by at least separating them from the rest of society by putting them in jail.

So in that sense, it can “honestly” be said that it is not the intent of the mandate to put Americans in jail for freely choosing to not buy health insurance. However the bill does give the government the authority and power to punish those who do not buy insurance with fines, and to use the IRS to enforce those fines. And can anyone honestly say or believe that the IRS will not toss otherwise law abiding Americans into jail if they do not cooperate with the efforts of the IRS to enforce these fines?

Colburn also says, and this part really peeves me off, that Nancy ("Are you serious?") Pelosi is a nice person, and asks “how many of ya’ll have met her?” Well in response to that is that I never met Hitler either, but I know that he was not a good person. And despite the fact that I have read that in his private life, Adolf Hitler was an amiable person who loved children, that did not make him any less of an evil person. And just because Nancy P may or may not have an amiable personality does not make her a nice person.

He went on to say that “Just because someone disagrees with you doesn't mean they’re not a good person.” Well in that he is correct. But it is not the fact that Nancy P disagrees with the majority of the American people that makes her evil.

It is the fact that she belittles, maligns and defames “We the People” who dare to have the unmitigated gall to stand in opposition to her agenda that makes her evil.

It is the fact that she eschews everything that our founding fathers believed in and established that makes her evil.

It is the fact that she has not only ignored the constitution, she has torn it to shreds, pissed on its tattered pieces and buried it in the pig excrement of socialism that makes her evil.

It is the fact that her clear intent is to reform and remake this nation into a clone of Europe that makes her evil.

It is her threats, arm twisting, bribery and other vile acts undertaken to insure that she and her cohorts can shove obamacare, cap and trade, and similar detrimental legislation down our throats that makes her evil.

It is her hatred of the producers and job creators and her love of those who feed at the national teat, consuming the fruits of other peoples risk taking and hard work, while giving nothing in return, that make her evil.

It is her efforts to take the "Blessings of Liberty" and Freedom away from “We the People” that makes her evil.

It is her objective to endow the government with absolute authority and power over the lives and livelihood of “We the People of the United States” of America that makes her evil.

Mr. Coburn’s closing statement was: “Having been on that side of the receiving end… I think members who agree with us philosophically ought to do everything to not demonize our opponents, but to win on the issues. In the long run we gain credibility and we gain respect when we do that. And we win, we win (unintelligible).”

I agree that we need to win on the issues. And I do not think we need to demonize our opponents. However, I do not see the likes of Nancy Pelosi as our opponents. She and her ilk are our in fact, by their own rhetoric have made it clear that they are enemies to Freedom, to Liberty, to Justice, and to the hard working people of the United States of America. And as such, they are fair game for demonization because their goal is to foist a demonic repression upon us.

Mr. Colburn either needs to grow a pair and stop worrying about not looking like a nice guy, and stop trying to reach across the isle when it is so clear that doing so means to compromise our founding principles, and to surrender our Freedom and Liberty… Or he needs to get the hell out of the way, and allow someone who is actually ready, willing and able to fight the domestic enemies of America, of her Constitution and of her citizens, do the job.

My wife Susan and I would like to ask everyone to take a moment here and there throughout your day to say a small prayer for our son. He will be driving home, on leave from the Navy, to spend Christmas here with his family. His plan is to leave out early this afternoon, with the intent of arriving home around noon tomorrow. With the snow and all, conditions are less than ideal.

Please keep our young Navy man in your prayers, so that he can arrive safely.

Even Robots Love Christmas

Back when I was a young boy I saw a movie titled "Tobor the Great". It is not the greatest robot movie ever made, but it is the one that caused me to fall in love with robots. I had seen other movie robots, but I had never seen a robot that looked as cool as Tobor. Typically movie robots tended to look like waterheaters with arms and legs. I am sure that someone is going to want to ask me "What about Robbie from "The Forbidden Planet". Well I did not see Robbie until a couple of years later. HI ad seen Robbie first, he might well have had the same effect on me that Tobor did.

Anyway, because of Tobor, I did fall in love with robots and have been fascinated by then ever since. I have designed and built several small robots and robot related circuits, and written a few articles and how-to's as well over the years. I have also collected a few toy robots, and a large number of the DVDs that I own have robots in them.

The reason I have bored you with all of this is so that you might have at least a small idea of why on Earth I would want to share the following video with you.

Chavev Proclaims the Communist's Goal for COP15

If you still think that COP15, the U.N. Conference on Climate Change, is about saving the planet from human caused global warming, then watch the video at the bottom of this post. Note the applause that communist dictator Hugo Chavez gets as he invokes Karl Marx, and describes capitalism as a terrible ghost.

The simple truth is that Anthropogenic (human caused) climate change has been exposed (to anyone with a mind) as a complete and utter fraud. So why would anyone want to foist such a fraud upon the people of the world? The answer is to enable and ease the creation of a communist world government.

The communist were unable conquer the world militarily, due in no small measure to the courage and determination of those Americans whose love of freedom was greater than their fear of nuclear annihilation. It was these people who insisted, and made sure, that the military strength of the United States of America was second to none.

The communist could not conquer the world economically, due again in large part to those Americans who love Freedom, and in who's hearts and minds the wealth producing spirit of free enterprise (the free trade of good and services) and capitalism lives and thrive.

(Yes, yes, I know. Our free enterprise traditions have been whittled away over the last many years. Even more so in the short time that B.O. has been in office. It is thus far less free than it once was. But our system has generally been far freer than any communist system.)

So the communist, along with their socialist coconspirators (see note) had to take a different approach to taking over the world. They realized that their future was in, and thus they joined the environmentalist movement. Once firmly entrenched in that movement, they needed a weapon to use; hence the threat of global warming was born. That is why COP15 is not what it is portrayed as being.

It is in fact a blind, created out of whole cloth, by socialist leaning scientist, to hide the efforts of those who intend to rob Freedom loving people, of their GOD given Right to invest their time, creativity, efforts and money, to earn a living, obtain wealth, improve their standard of living, secure their financial future, and leave something to their posterity.

The global warming threat is in fact a weapon that was invented and manufactured to be wielded by communist wolves, disguised in the fleece of environmental concern. It is being used to bludgeon the Free nations of the world, especially the United States of America, into submission. The intent is to force all sovereignty to be surrendered to a global regulatory body (I.E. One World Government) under Marxist control.

Like every other effort the communist have made, this one too must be defeated. And it appears that once again, it will have be in no small part up those Americans, whose love of freedom is greater than their fear, to save the world from communist domination.

Republicans Stall Healthcare Takeover

The attempt by B.O and his socialist henchmen in the House and Senate to take over, and thus destroy, the best healthcare system in the world has been stalled by Oklahoma Republican Senator Tom Coburn.

Senator Coburn has forced the reading of Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders amendment to the Democrat’s healthcare takeover bill. Senator Sander's amendment would create a single-payer, Medicare-for-all health care system.

All I can say is that it is about time the Republicans started doing something to slow down and (Dear GOD please) stop this attempt to take healthcare decisons and choices away from the citizens of this country, and from their doctors, and put those decisions into the hands of unelected, government appointed bureaucrats. Especially since any individual capable of coherent thought knows that those bureaucrats will be more concerned with cost cutting and population control than they will be with the actual health of the citizens.

Republican Senator Tom Coburn M.D. of Oklahoma released the following statement today after forcing the Clerk of the Senate to read the 767 page Sanders amendment which would establish a single payer, government-run health care system in the United States.

“I admire Senator Sanders for his willingness to fight for publically what many advocate only privately – a single payer health care system funded and controlled by bureaucrats and politicians in Washington. Every American should listen to the reading of this amendment and pay careful attention to its vote tally,” Dr. Coburn said.

Dr. Coburn, a practicing physician with 25 years of experience, has introduced a health care reform bill, the Patients’ Choice Act, which, unlike the Sanders amendment and the Reid bill, puts patients, not politicians, at the center of our health care system. Dr. Coburn, along with Senator Richard Burr (R-NC) and Representatives Paul Ryan (R-WI) and Devin Nunes (R-CA), introduced the Patients’ Choice Act in May of this year, six months before the Reid bill was introduced.

“The American people deserve to understand the competing approaches to reform in the U.S. Senate. It’s unfortunate that Senator Reid waited until the last minute to introduce his bill and now wants to rush it through the Senate. This reading will provide a dose of transparency that has been lacking in this debate,” Dr. Coburn said.

Summary: This amendment would establish a single payer health insurance system that would cover every person legally residing in the United States. The single payer system would be regulated and funded by the federal government through a payroll tax and an income tax, but it would be administered by the states. It would replace the coverage and revenue titles of the current bill, but it would leave in place most of the provisions in the quality, prevention, and workforce titles of the bill. This amendment starts from the premise that health care is a human right, and that every citizen, rich or poor, should have access to health care, just as every citizen has access to the fire department, the police, or public schools.

As part of their coverage of the global warming/climate change skam, PJTV’s Allen Barton has done an interview with EPA researcher Alan Carlin (CarlinEconomics.com).

Alan Carlin wrote a report warning that the science behind climate change was questionable. That report was subsequently suppressed by the B.O. administration.

Mr. Carlin is a slow speaking (some might say boring) individual and thus the interview is not what one would call entertaining. But it is definitely informative.

It was less than a month ago that I posted a short piece regarding Jesse Jackson saying that:

“You can’t vote against healthcare and call yourself a black man.”

Now Lee Siegel of The Daily Beast has said in response to Joe Lieberman saying that he would vote against any health-care bill that included the Medicare buy-in:

“Some people—for example, the sick and the crippled—might say that it is really not Jewish at all”.

I don't know... it must be a liberal trait to attack anyone with whom you share ethnic or racial ties; any time they demonstrate a little independent political thought.

The Kudzu Government

In the speech Bill talks about the wealth creating engine that is free enterprise, I.E. the free trade of good and services. He compares the unbridled growth of government, and how it strangle wealth creation, to Kudzu , a plant that was originally imported from Japan that has completely taken over large portions of the landscape in the southeastern United States.

As I have come to expect from Mr. Whittle the speech is excellent.

Irresponsibility, The Way of the Future

Blogger Bungalow Bill posted an excellent piece this morning about school administrators in Bloomfield Missouri's Middle School eliminating homework. It seems that the administrators, the parents and the students have all abandoned the concepts of being responsible and have decided to do the easy thing, rather than doing the right thing.

After reading his post, I felt a strong need to write about another example of irresponsible behavior that our government is going to be rewarding.

It seems that the Federal Reserve is issuing new rules. And that certain congressmen are trying to pass new legislation that will establish greater government control over and limits upon the number, and dollar amounts, of fees that banks can apply to accounts of account holders who choose to spend more than they actually have in those accounts.

Now please do not get me wrong. I am not defending every practice of the banking systen in this country. But this is a not a matter of unfair bank policy. It is a matter the government protecting and thus rewarding the irresponsible behavior of some account holders, which is going to result in responible account holders paying more and higher fees.

So I have to ask... How is it going to make our banks any more stable, or our economy any healthier, if the government takes away, or at least severely limiting, the just and due penalty that banks can apply to the accounts of account holders who knowingly and willfully do not keep their spending to within the limits of their income?

I was taught, by my parent that spending more than I made would lead to financial ruin. The pastor of a church I attended, in a town I used to lived in, put it this way:

“If your out-go is greater than your income, then your upkeep will be your downfall”.

So to me it makes no sense to reward irresponsible behavior by protecting it. Common sense dictates that doing so can only, and will only, lead to more irresponsible behavior. Unfortunately, that appear to be the trend under the messiah of the irresponsible currently taking up space in the White House. And it does coincide with the kind of example that some in the government seem to want to set for everyone.

The “problem” that the congress and the Fed say they are trying to “correct” stems from the fact that there are people who do not want to abide by the terms and conditions, that they agreed to, when they opened their accounts. For some unfathomable reason these people have decided that they should not be expected to monitor their own spending habits. They do not understand why they should be held accountable for their irresponsible behavior.

These whiners generally do not want to have to take even the simple step of recording their spending in the registry provided to them with their checks. Nor do they want to use any other kind of personal record keeping technique. In their view, the task of keeping track of their spending and thus preventing any overdrafts should fall entirely onto the bank, instead of onto the account holder. They feel that they should be able to call the bank, or look at their account online, and see exactly how much money they actually have available to spend at any given moment in time. And for some, even doing this is more than they feel they should be expected to do.

Now I know that we live in a near paperless era. And I understand that most financial transactions are accomplished electronically now-a-days. But that does not mean that any bank can instantaneously track all of an account holders spending. The fact is that many transactions are not transmitted to the bank at the time that they occur. Retailers and service providers often do not send the days receipts to their own bank until the end of the day. Others only do so only once a week. It is also possible for a particular transaction to get lost in the shuffle for a time. When this happens, the provider may not present that transaction to the bank for months. This delay does not and should negate the legitimacy of the transaction.

And let’s not forget that when checks are used, especially when they are sent through the mail, the bank has no way of knowing the amount of the check, let alone that the check has been written. At least not until the recipient of that check submits it. Any delay between the writing of a check, and time that it arives at the bank that it is drawn on, is not the banks fault, nor does it negate the legitimacy of the check.

So the simple fact is that it is impossible for any bank to be able to precisely know, at any given moment in time, the exact number of transactions an account holder has initiated, or the dollar amounts of transactions that it has not yet received. And since it is impossible for a bank know, with certainty, how much money an account holder has spent, in one form or another, it is also impossible for that bank to tell that account holder exactly how much money they actually have available to cover further spending.

There also seems to be some anger about the how banks organize the day’s transactions and calculate the new balance for a customers account. Generally the bank will begin by adding in any deposits or other credits due to that account, And that is as it should be. They then subtract any withdraws or other debits from the account. Most banks do not subtract the transactions in the order in which they occurred on that day. Instead, banks generally start by subtracting the largest debits first and continue down the list of debits, entering the smallest of them last.

The complaint is that this procedure insures that the largest number of overdraft fees, if any, will be applicable to the account. And sometimes it does. But it also means that the largest debits, which are typically the most important ones (I.E. mortgage, and/or car payments), are less likely to overdraw the account, and more likely to be paid out, thus not causing the account holder additional difficulties with, or fees from, a mortgage holder, loan provider, etc..

So here is the crux of the matter. Those people who are whining about getting too many overdraft fees need to stop being so irresponsible. They need to stop expecting someone else to monitor their spending habits for them. They need to grow up and learn to do what a responsible adult would do. They need to keep their own records and get their spending habits under control. They need to stop relying upon electronic resources, like online banking and customer service phone lines, to tell them how much money they have available to spend.

These resources are not going to protect the irresponsible account holder from his or her own foolishness. They are simply an aid, a reference tool if you will, to help confirm that a transaction has, or has not arrived to, and been recorded by, the bank. When one of these electronic resource says that there is such and such an amount of money in an account, that amount excludes any and all transactions that have not yet arrived at the account holders bank. The account holder alone is responsible to realize this fact and take it into account when deciding what they can and should spend. The account holder must realize and accept the fact, that once a transaction has been initiated, once a check has been written and submitted as payment, the funds represented by that transaction or check are no longer available to cover additional spending. This is true regardless of whether or not the bank has received and recorded that transaction or check.

I have to wonder why is it that the government always seem to want to protect the most foolish and irresponsible people amonst us? Do our elected office holders and appointed bureaucrats not realize that by doing so, they only guarantee that there will be even more foolish and irresponsible people, doing even more foolish and irresponsible thing? Do they not understand that as a consequence, there will be more need for more regulations to protect those people And that those people will become even more dependent upon the government to watch over them, and take care of them, and make decisions for them, and...

Wait a minute. I think I may have just answered my own question?

In closing, it must pointed out that banks will need to replace the moneys that they can no longer collect, as a result of these new laws and regulations, from irresponsible account holders. This will probably be done by charging new or increased fees on other bank services. And these new and increased fees will, of course, be paid by those of us who have chosen to be responsible account holders, and who actually do abide by the terms and conditions that we agreed to when we opened our accounts.

I wanted to share the video below with you. It is another of the typically amusing creations of PJTV 's Steven Crowder. I must however warn you that the impersonation of Horacio Caine is adequate at best. Although Steven's exagerated mimicking of some of the more idiosyncratic mannerisms of the character are amusing, his voice is just not right.

The video is appears to have been inspired by the Scrooge like policy of the Target chain of stores. This is a long time policy that Target says was implemented to “…provide a distraction-free shopping environment…”. So as I read that, Target wants to be sure that we have as much money in our pockets as possible to spend inside the store. Therefore they took steps to deny us the option of giving some of our money to a Salvation Army bell ringer in front of the store.

Target states that “This policy does not diminish our support of The Salvation Army”. Well maybe not, but it certainly deprives Target customers of at least one opportunity to show Christian charity to those in need.

I stopped shopping a Target a long time ago for many reasons, not the least being this policy. Now Target has every right to set its own policy on how to deal with this kind of thing. But as far as I am concerned any company that maintains and enforces this kind of policy does not deserve my money.

Deconstructing Global Warming Hysteria

Today in a post to the geeeeeZ! blog, titled "Name that Tune!", an interesting question was asked.

” So, if you weren't American, listening to what song would make you wish that you were? A song that makes you think of America right away. Not necessarily overtly patriotic, but something you'd consider part of the American heritage.

What song is immediately identifies with America for YOU? Any suggestions?”

The obvious traditional patriotic songs like “The Star Spangled Banner” and “America the Beautiful” immediately came to mind. But I really didn't think that songs like that were exactly what was being looked for. So I considered other less traditional songs and the choice seemed to be a fairly simple one. I posted my answer to the comments section, and while doing so decided that I would share my choice with my readers as well.

A few comments about last night's speech

As I expected, B.O’s teleprompter reading last night was nothing new.

It was filled with the usual double talk that he has been spoon feeding, to those foolish enough to swallow it, from the beginning.

He tried to give an air of legitimacy to the speech, and turn it into another photo-op by giving it from a podium at West Point rather than from the White House, which would be the normal place from which to make an announcement regarding a change in, or execution of war policy.

Instead filling the American people with confidence and enthusiasm, it seems that all he managed to do was put a number of the cadets to sleep.

He demonstrated that he quite simply does not understand that war is not, and cannot, be fought according to a rigidly timed schedule.

He told our enemies that they only need to hold on for eighteen more months, and then he will allow them a free hand to do whatever they want to the rest of the world.

He told our enemies that they should continue to hide and base their operations amongst the so called innocent civilians. And that they can be sure that the brave young men and women who serve in our military will not be allowed to take any steps to defeat or eliminate anyone who is or might trying to kill our troops, if those steps would present any danger to people in areas where the residents are allowing the islamo-fascist to hide amongst them.

Lastly, and perhaps most sadly, he confirmed what most of us already knew. That he is incapable of understanding that the only exit strategy that will work in any war; is one that insures the every last enemy leader, provocateur, combatant, sympathizer, etc. is either dead, permanently imprisoned, or otherwise rendered impotent.

Liberal Interpretations #3

I haven’t heard it yet, but I’m waiting for it because I know that I will. Sometime between now and shortly after Christmas, some liberal is going to try to use the Christmas narrative as an example of why the government must do something to help the poor. The details of the events surrounding the birth of our LORD Jesus Christ will be twisted into something that not only completely ignores the spiritual and joy filled aspect of the Christmas narrative, but that will also deliberately distort the root cause of the situation that Mary and Joseph found themselves in some two thousand plus years ago.

For political reasons alone, someone is going to claim that Mary and Joseph were homeless people, and that their impoverished state caused them to resort to seeking shelter in a stable when Mary went into labor. This is not simply an error in interpretation. It is a deliberate and willful lie. And anyone who has ever read the scripture passages that describe the actual events knows better.

As best as I have been able to ascertain, this unfounded and ridiculous claim was first made back in late 1991 by the so called “Reverend” Jesse Jackson. It has been regularly repeated by him and others since then, and will all but inevitably be repeated by him and/or others this Christmas as well.

The simple truth is that there is absolutely no good reason, Biblical or otherwise, to believe that Joseph and Mary were homeless or impoverished. In fact it is likely that they had a good sturdy, though probably modest, home. After all, Joseph was a carpenter, and apparently quite a good one. I can say this because the scriptures make it clear that Joseph, his skills and his family were well known in their community. (Matthew 13:55-56)

No, Mary and Joseph were not homeless. Nor were they poor. But they were ordered, by a government edict, to leave their home in Nazareth, travel many rugged miles down to Joseph’s ancestral home town of Bethlehem. And why was this necessary? So that Joseph and his family could be registered for tax purposes. (Luke 2:1-5)

And as I have already made clear, there is no good reason, biblical or otherwise, to believe that the young couple was unable to afford to pay for a room at one of the local inns. The problem was that when they arrived in Bethlehem, they found that all of the inns were already filled with people. Most likely with people who, like themselves, were forced to leave their homes, so that they too could be added to the tax roles. As a result, when Mary found herself going into labor, the young couple was forced to utilize the only available shelter and privacy they could find, a stable. (Luke 2:6-7) And it was there that Mary gave birth to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

So from a pure worldly viewpoint, the seemingly sad conditions that this young family had to endure were not a result of poverty and/or homelessness. They were in fact a direct result of government tax policy.

Of course those who read and study the scriptures are quite aware and understand that nothing happens without GOD’s foreknowledge. And in this particular case, GOD preordained all of the circumstances so as to fulfill the prophecy that the messiah would, according to HIS plan, be born in Bethlehem (Micah 5:2).

As a side note, and as another example of GOD’s perfect planning, Jesus is “the bread of life” (John 6:35) and the name Bethlehem means “the house of bread”.

Another misinterpretation that we have all heard before, and are likely to hear liberals espouse time and again is that Mary was an unwed mother. This too is completely false.

Mary was espoused to Joseph. This is not like being engaged in today’s world. In the Jewish culture of that day, an espoused couple was considered married in ever sense of the word except that couple was not living together, and had not yet consummated their relationship. An espoused couple could only be separated by divorce.

The fact that Mary was not an unwed mother is confirmed by the scriptures which refer to Joseph as Mary’s husband (Matthew:1:19), and to Mary as Joseph’s wife (Matthew:1:20) even before the birth of our Lord and Savior. In fact when Joseph learned that Mary was pregnant, knowing all too well that he could not be the baby’s father, he was ready to quietly divorce her. At least he was until he received a visit and message from the angel of the LORD. (Matthew:1:20-25)

So we have now debunked two more of the deliberate distortions of scripture that liberals have made. Sadly, there are many other such false claims, and in all likelihood the socialist liberals will come up with even more of these kinds of twisted interpretations, misapplications and out right lies about what the scriptures teach. For that reason, you can be sure that, GOD willing, there will be a Liberal Interpretations #4, #5, #6 and however many more it takes.

Meanwhile, let me wish everyone a wonderful and blessed Christmas season. May GOD keep and protect you and yours.

That's Merry Christmas If You Please

Ahhhhh! That was delicious. And now that Thanksgiving is tuck tightly under our belts we have officially entered the winter holiday season. Yes, I know, the department stores already had their displays and shelves filled winter holiday items, well before Halloween was over. But putting that aside, most of us see the day after Thanksgiving as the proper beginning of the winter holiday season.

We can now all look forward to hearing store clerks, delivery persons, politicians and almost everyone else who works directly with the public, greet us with an ever so pleasant “Season’s Greetings!!” or “Happy Holiday!!”

Okay, enough of that politically correct hogwash. The truth is that we are not just entering into a period of various social and cultural celebrations. This is not simply the winter holiday season. It is in fact the Christmas season, the time of year when the western world in general, and especially we here in the United States of America, remember and remind each other that GOD sent HIS SON, to be born in a stable as a human infant, so that HE could walk amongst us, teach us, and give HIS life for us. It is at this time that we enthusiastically and joyfully celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

I don’t know about you, but I intend to do as I have always done. I will continue to greet people by at least wishing them a “Very Merry Christmas”, if not a full blown “Happy LORD’s Birthday”.

If that offends some people, well that is their problem not mine. I am an American citizen, and when it comes to important issues, I am under no obligation to suppress what I know to be the truth; so as to avoid offending others. Anyone who chooses to take offense at my words will simply have to realize that this is the United States of America.

And that in the United States of America; the over whelming majority of us are (at least in name) Christians.

And that not only can every American citizen believe what he or she chooses to believe, but that every American citizen also have the GOD given, Constitutionally recognized right to freely exercise his or her religion.

And that for Christian Americans that means, in part, that we can and should use our GOD given Constitutionally recognized right of free speech to proclaim the Gospel of our LORD and Savior, Jesus Christ.

There is absolutely no good reason why we Christians should ever feel obligated to restrain our joy over the celebration of the birth of the KING of kings and LORD of lord.

Nor should we Christian ever submit to liberal pressures to keep our enthusiasm in check, or to squelch our GOD given desire to share the true reason for the Christmas season with anyone and everyone at any time when Spirit of GOD moves us to do so.

And that is why I became more than a little bit angry, though not really surprised, when I learned that the video immediately below was one of the of the 20 finalists being considered by the DNC as part of a health care video contest run by Barack Obama’s campaign arm, “Organizing For America”. The video features a Los Angeles Street Artist who calls himself Saber, painting a mural of an America flag, which is then splattered with health care graffiti until it is completely covered by black paint.

Hmmmm, I wonder if any National Endowment for the Arts funds were used in the making of this piece of propaganda.

Anyway, the left will likely defend this as artistic expression, and say that it is protected by the first amendment. Well maybe so, but I call it a desecration, and of a kind that has become all too common in our country.

I remember a similar example of artistic expression ten years ago. It was an exhibit at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, a work by “Dread” Scott Tyler, a self-proclaimed "supporter of the Revolutionary Communist Party U.S.A.," titled “What Is the Proper Way to Display a U.S. Flag?” The work consisted of an American flag stretched out on the floor, directly below a ledge holding two books in which visitors were invited to enter their comments. The clear and deliberate attempt was to encourage people to walk upon the flag.

I ended up in a prolonged debate with an artist friend. He defended it using all the typical illogic so common to the left. The debate came to an abrupt close when I finally told my friend that I would acknowledge and accept this as a legitimate form of artistic expression, as long as he acknowledged and accept that the broken and bloodied body of the artist laying on the floor next to the display was also was a legitimate form of artistic expression

Please do not get me wrong. I fully defend the right of anyone to decent; using almost any legal means at their disposal. Though I would not necessarily appreciate or agree with it, I would defend the right of anyone to burn an effigy of a president (as was done many times by Bush haters) with whose policies they did not agree . I would defend their right to deface or burn a map of the United States of America, or a picture of the White House, if they felt it would express their disapproval of some America policy. I might even defend their right to drag the dead carcass of an American bald eagle through the streets in protest of a certain action by the government that they find to be grievous and offensive.

But desecrating the flag is something quite different. The flag is special because of what it represents. I am not talking about the thirteen stripes that stand for the original thirteen states. And I do not mean the fifty stars that symbolize the fifty individual sovereign states that currently make up our nation. No, the flag represents something much, much more.

The flag of the United States of America represents not only the sweat and tears of every American who has worked hard and made sacrifices to build a better life, and by so doing helped make this the greatest nation that GOD has ever raised up on the Earth, it also represents the life’s blood of every American who from the founding of this great nation, to this very day, have laid their lives on the line, and given their all to preserve and protect the Freedom of every individual American.

Therefore, to desecrate the flag of the United States of America, is to piss on the graves and curse the blood of those brave Americans who have paid the ultimate price, and that is intolerable. At least it used to be. There was a time when as I suggested to my artist friend, that anyone who would dare to deliberately violate and despoil our flag would find themselves in a great deal of pain.

Wouldn’t it be nice if, as in our grandfathers' day, virtually every American still respected the flag of the United States of America. Then maybe we would still have artist that produce works the way they did back in 1939, when the cartoon below was made. As you will see, back then even Porky was a FLAGrant Chauvinist Pig.

At least that is the direct implication of remarks made by the Reverend (so called) Jesse Jackson at a reception, held by the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) Foundation, which was part of a series of events that revolve around the 25th anniversary of his run for president.

JJ criticized Representative Arthur Davis (D-Ala.) on Wednesday night for voting against the Democrats’ signature healthcare bill, going so far as to say:

The video below is an example of a cartoon that was made in a time when freedom was more than just a word. Back then Freedom was something to be cherished and defended, something virtually every American was ready to fight and die to keep.

It tears at my heart when I see how many people today are willing to so quickly and thoughtlessly trade away their freedom for some lofty promise that the government will provide them with something they feel the cannot, or are unwilling to, get for themselves.

I know that when I was growing up, I was taught by my parents that my Father GOD in Heaven would provide for all my needs (Philippians 4:19), not my Uncle Sam in Washington. I still believe that, and have seen it proven to be true time and time again.

We need to teach these truths not only to our children, but apparently also to our friends, our co-workers, and anyone else that GOD chooses to bring into our sphere of influence. And it might prove to be the only thing that we can do to keep the ignorant and the lazy from trading away; that which so many Americans, from the founding of this great nation, to this very day, have fought and died to secure and preserve. It is not unusual for the anti-war and pacifist types to try to claim the Bible, especially the teachings of Jesus Christ, support and back them in their viewpoint. An example of this showed up in a comment posted by a reader of an article titled:

that appeared at Human Events.com,

The comments read as follows…

> “When Jesus does come back, I hope you have the balls to stand up to Him and tell Him that everything that He taught was "morally abhorant, and has no place in a civilized society". He DID say turn the other cheek, and a few other things as well, like love thine enemy, and about how to forgive is Divine. How can you call Pacifist names and say that they are lazy, when what they believe are the very principles that Jesus taught. I think you guys need to put down the guns and read more of the Bible, the words that Jesus gave us and you will find that He taught that weapons were the handiwork of the Devil, and when one of His Diciples injured one of His captors on the night He was taken, He healed him, not fought back, right?”

I had to reply to this poorly though out response, which was not only filled with misinterpretations and misapplications of the teachings of Jesus Christ, but it also referenced quotes and deas that are quite simply not even found in the Bible, but are stated as if they were..

What follows is my reply (comments in red added for clarity) to that readers comment.

I do not know where you get that anything that has been written (in the article or by others who posted comments) says that any of us believe that what Jesus taught is morally abhorrent. We do not. Let me point out a few things about what you wrote.

> “When Jesus does come back…”

When Jesus comes back, HE will not be doing so as a pacifist, but rather HE will be returning with a sword, with which he will smite the nations (Revelation 19:15).

> “He DID say turn the other cheek…”

He was referring to a slap on the cheek, which is not a threatening or deadly blow. It is a challenge, and we are not to respond to simple challenges as though they, in and of, themselves have inflicted any real harm.

> “and a few other things as well, like love thine enemy”

The fact that we are to love our enemies only means that we do nothing more to them than is required to stop them from doing us harm. We are not to take vengeance upon our enemy once they have been defeated. It unnecessary for us to do so, GOD will do it, and HE will do a better job of avenging the innocent than we can anyway. (Romans 12:19)

It also means that if an enemy is in need, we should be willing to offer assistance in meeting that needs. Doing so will emphasize to the enemy that being our friend is less burdensome than being our enemy. (Romans 12:20)

Note: As history has proven, the United States of America has always been ready, willing and able to aid anyone, friend or foe, in times of catastrophe and great need. And that we have been right there at the end of any military conflict to give aid and assistance in rebuilding the infrastructure of virtually every enemy we have defeated.

Sorry Pamela, that is not in the scriptures. It is actually a quote from Alexander Pope “To err is human, to forgive divine”. It should also be noted that to forgive an unrepentant enemy will have much the same results as throwing a rock straight up. Unless you take steps to avoid it, the enemy like the rock, is going to come back and hit you squarely on your head.

What they believe has little or nothing to do with what Jesus taught. Jesus specifically said that he did not come to bring peace, but a sword. (Matthew 10: 34)

There is also the fact that despite interacting with more than one soldier during his earthly life, Jesus never told a single one of them to leave military service, or not to fight against his nation’s enemies. Rather he blessed them in one way or another. See Matthew 8:5 to 13 for example.

It is also a fact that Jesus sent Peter to a soldier, or more precisely a centurion, named Cornelius who along with those of his household became the very first gentiles to accept Jesus as his Lord and savior. That’s right, God blessed a soldier, an armed fighting man by making him and his family the proof that salvation was for all GOD fearing men and women, and not just for the children of Israel. (Acts 10:1)

Actually I would be willing to say, with little fear of being proven wrong, that many gun owners who are ready to stand and fight evil doers, from the thug in the ally to the islamo-fascist on the battlefield, probably read, study and know their Bible better than you do.

Thus proving my point as nowhere in the scriptures does it say, and never did Jesus say, that weapons are the handiwork of the Devil. In fact, it was Jesus who made sure that HIS disciples would be armed, knowing that He was about to be taken away from them. (Luke 22:36 & 38) Note that it is probable that the followers of our LORD would also have been taken right there and then, and would have been executed as quickly as Jesus was, had they not been armed.

HE stopped Peter, and did not personally fight back because HE knew that it was time for HIM to be taken and soon crucified in our place. Had HE not allowed HIMSELF to be taken, had HE instead chosen to used the sword that HE will wield on the day of HIS return, (or had HE called upon the legions of angles at HIS disposal to protect and defend HIM) we would have no escape from the just consequences of our sins. (Matthew 26:52 - 54)

On October 28th, President Obama signed the largest military budget in U.S. history-$680 billion dollars, which does not include the cost of the criminal occupations of Iraq and Afghanistan. The new administration is also continuing to hand out the $9.5 trillion dollars in working people's tax dollars to bailout the already rich.

The money to end the suffering of all working people tomorrow is there. It is our choice as to whether we will allow the right of a few to profit from labor of workers to continue, or whether we will rise up as one class of working people to and take political power into our own hands.

We are building a movement that will beat back racism so that working people of all nationalities can unite and fight against our one, shared enemy: capitalism. Burris Bungles Basic Constitutional Question

This clip was posted on CNS NEWS.com back on Wednesday, November 04 of 2009, so you may have already seen it. But I had to share it here as it is a perfect example of the caliber of individual who is currently trying to turn our Free Republic into a government controlled socialist cesspool. As you watch, you will see Senator Roland Burris of Illinois fumble what should be a very simple question, that is, if there was a legitimate answer. I will give Senator Burris this much, at least he makes an effort to answer the question, though his answer demonstrate that he has only the most distorted concept of what the Constitution of the United States of America actually says, whereas Nancy Pelosi ducked the question entirely; by acting as if she was surprised to have even been asked.

I have included a transcript of this video interview below; so that you can confirm that you actually heard and saw what you thought you heard and saw. Senator Burris' ignorance is so sad that it almost makes me wish that I had never seen the video. If this was the best person that the democrats could find to fill the position left open when B.O. was selected to take up space in the White House, than GOD help us all.

Sen. Burris Cites Unwritten Constitutional 'Health' Provision to Justify Forcing Americans to Buy Health Insurance

CNSNews.com: “Do you support Congress mandating the public, the American public, to get health insurance?

Senator Burris: “The Congress mandating the public to get health insurance?”

CNSNews.com: “Through the Baucus bill right now. Also, the House bill has the mandate.”

Senator Burris: “No. What is happening is is that the public will still have the options of going to an insurance company and what we’re saying is that we want the public to have a choice to get health insurance. So, in terms of what we have now, if you’ve got your insurance with a private provider--a private doctor--you can keep your private provider. We’re dealing with those persons who are either not able to get employment--insurance through their employer--or who can’t get insurance through, or if their small business, they can get insurance through their small business through an option arrangement. But there wouldn’t be any type of a--Well, in terms of a requirement for individuals, we’re hoping that every one within--will receive insurance. We’ve got the 48 million people who are without it.”

CNSNews.com: “In the Baucus bill--the provision that says if you don’t get health insurance there’s a penalty on your taxes. You’re penalized; I believe it’s up to $1,500 if you don’t actually get insurance--the actual mandate in the bill. Are you familiar with that at all?”

Senator Burris: “Well, that piece I may not have covered, but the other piece in terms of requiring who pays for what, if the employer pays for an excess of $8,000 in that bill, then, of course, I’ve got problems with that type of a mandate for insurance companies to pay a tax on the excess over the [inaudible] because all they’re going to do is pass it on in premiums charged to the employer or to the insurer, so, I certainly would not support that type of legislation.”

CNSNews.com: “So, in general, if a person doesn’t want health insurance, do you think they should be required by the government to actually have to get it?”

Senator Burris: “Under state law, we have every one required to have automobile insurance. Now, think about that. And so under this here, we’re providing in the legislation where every one would be able to acquire health insurance. If they don’t get it, then that would--certainly they’re trying to provide some type of a provision for them in case they're sick so that they will be covered and they won’t be a burden on the system. So, that’s the same thing proportionally to automobile insurance. I mean, it’s comparable.”

CNSNews.com: “Federally, if you look at it from a federal standpoint, what area specifically of the Constitution would give Congress the power to mandate an individual to have health insurance?”

Senator Burris: “Well, that’s under certainly the laws of the--protect the health, welfare of the country. That’s under the Constitution. We’re not even dealing with any constitutionality here. Should we move in that direction? What does the Constitution say? To provide for the health, welfare and the defense of the country.”

CNSNews.com: “Do you think there’s any limit to that? Congressionally, is there any limit to what Congress can require someone, an individual to do?”

Senator Burris: “Before we get into all of that, just rest assured, we need health insurance for every one that’s insured. We need health insurance where it’s affordable. We need health insurance that can be--that can cost affordable for all the insured and that the insurance companies will not be making excessive profits. That’s what we’re talking about. Okay? All right?”

You would think that the outcry that resulted from the first time he bowed to a foreign potentate would have been enough for him to know better than to do it this time. But apparently it was not; as once again B.O. bows to the leader of another nation. For some unfathomable reason, he simply does not understand that AMERICANS DO NOT BOW, our FLAG DOES NOT DIP and our leaders are to show no obeisance to any earthly ruler. To do so is to show distain and disrespect for all those who have, from the foundation of this nation to this very day, given all to insure that “We the People, of the United States" of America will never have to kowtow to any earthly king, emperor or sovereign.

B.O. To Use A Back Door In Copenhagen

Despite the fact that more and more Americans are speaking out and making it known that they will not surrender their GOD given, constitutionally recognized rights, to any form of world governing body, B.O. and his henchmen are attempting to back door an agreement that would eventually surrender the sovereignty of the United States of America, and freedom of its citizens to what amounts to a World Wide Environmental Regulator Commission.

In a speech last month, Danish Prime Minister Lars Loekke Rasmussen described the heart of an “interim pact” (read: B.O's back door) as being "political commitments" that key nations (read: the United States of America) would…
1) Outline their targets for reducing their own greenhouse gas emissions (via Cap & Trade legislation foist upon U.S. industries), and
2) Commit to the amount of money that richer countries (read U.S. citizens) will spend to help developing nations (I.E. India and Communist China) to adapt to "global warming" controls and curb their own emissions (yeah, like that is ever going to happen).

According to the Washington Post, Todd Stern, the U.S. special envoy on climate change, said that this “interim, operational deal is not meant to be seen as a substitute for a real agreement. It’s meant to be seen as substantive building blocks to a full, legal (read: binding) agreement, and perhaps the best chance of getting such an agreement.”

As I said in my last post, the U.N. Climate Change Conference is an effort by other (read looser) member nations of the U.N. to drag the United States of America down to, or below, their own second or third world status, under the guise of saving the Earth from the alleged destructive consequences of human activity. And since B.O. is a globalist with the apparent goal of becoming the first absolute ruler of the world, I guess we shouldn't be surprised he and the rest of the socialist liberals, who are currently running this country into the ground, would do something like this.

The liberal environmental-cases at the World Wildlife Federation have produced a commercial in which they use their own children (at least that is what they claim) to promote the U.N. Climate Change Conference (scheduled to be held between December 7 and December 18, of 2009 in Copenhagen Denmark) and to encourage B.O. to surrender the sovereignty of the United States of America, and the freedom of its citizens, to what would amount to a "World Wide Environmental Regulatory Commission" to be created at that comference.

Under the guise of saving the Earth from the alleged destructive consequences of human activity, this conference is in reality an effort by other (read looser) member nations of the U.N. to drag the United States of America down to, or below, their own second or third world status.

As he so often does, and does so very well, Rush Limbaugh has produced a wonderful parody of the WWF propaganda piece. Listen and enjoy.

The legislation reads (original text):

* Barack Hussein Obama (Mmm Mmm Mmm), has described the brave young men and women who serve in our armed forces as “stupid”, “losers”, and “incompetent”, and has made the accusation that “They air raid villages”

These people, and all those like them, should be absolutely ashamed of themselves, and of their disgraceful disrespect for, and for their lies about, our most honorable of this nation’s citizens.

Thank our Father GOD in Heaven that there are still those Americans who admire and appreciate the Marines and other fighting men and women who have set their own lifestyles on hold, and laid their life’s blood on the line, so that we can remain free.

It Was 20 Years Ago Today

On this, the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin wall, many people will watch videos, listen too recordings, read transcripts of, and share the great speech given by the greatest man to run for and be elected to the office of the President of the United States of America in the entire 20th century.

His words rang true on that twelfth day of June, in the year of our LORD nineteen hundred and eighty seven. And they ring just as true today.

It is a sad fact that B.O. has chosen not to personally attend the ceremonies commemorating the fall of that cold and ugly symbol so socialist enslavement of the people. He apparently is too busy to do so. So he made a video appearance instead. But then, that should come as no real surprise. The fall of that Berlin wall was possibly the most profound and momentous evidence and demonstration of the collapse of the evil soviet socialist empire. But it really comes as no surprise. After all, why would he want to participate in celebrating the defeat of the very system that he is currently working so hard to impose upon the American people?

But GOD fearing, freedom loving Americans can and should be very proud of the part that America played in the destruction of the Berlin wall, and that it was her best and brightest, serving in the Army, Navy, Marine corps and Air Force, who prevented the evil soviet socialist empire from conquering the world.

Now it is up to us the drive back and defeat that same evil, but this time from within out own government. We must make clear that we will not allow a wall to be constructed between ourselves and our GOD given, constitutionally recognized rights and freedom.

Compromise Is Good……….For Nothing

Actually, Compromise can be very useful. That is if you are trying to make a business deal, or if you and your spouse want to actually make your marriage work, or if you are having a disagreement with your neighbor about the dog barking. But those are not the kind of topics I set up this blog to write about. This blog is about our GOD given, Constitutionally recognized freedom. It is about the principles upon which that freedom is based. And when it comes to faith and principle, I hold to the statement that Compromise Is Good For Nothing..

Now that might sound like an extremist position to take. It might sound like I am ready to sound a call to battle and that I’m ready to go to war. But then, when it comes to protecting freedom and the firm foundation upon which that freedom is based, I can see no other responsible position for a GOD fearing, freedom loving individual to take. As Barry Goldwater said, in his acceptance speech at the 1964 Republican convention, "I would remind you, that extremism in defense of Liberty is no vice, and let me remind you also, that moderation in pursuit of justice is no virtue”.

The simple truth is that GOD fearing, freedom loving Americans cannot afford to compromise our faith, or our principles, in order to come to some kind of an agreement with our opponents. Did I say opponents? Perhaps foes would be a better term. Because that is indeed what they are, our foes. They represent the exact opposite of everything that we know and believe. They are the adversaries of the very truths that we base and build our lives upon. We must not allow the likes of the socialist liberal democrats, and the left leaning Rockefeller blueblood republicans, or any of their ilk, to force us into surrendering one single inch of the ground that we stand upon.

Those of us who hold to the founding principles of this country, as expressed in the Declaration of Independence, cannot and will not relent from our resistance to the continued assaults and efforts, by those on the left, to convince us to give in on even the smallest point. We need to respond to their efforts with a resounding NO!! We must and will refuse to surrender even one jot or one tittle of the words and ideas that make up the principles and truths that we hold so dear. To do so, to compromise on even the most miniscule portion, of the seemingly least significant individual component, of what makes us who and what we are, would be to weaken ourselves, and would set a president that would make it all the more likely that we would concede the next time, when a greater, more significant issue of our faith or principles is challenged.

For those of us who still hold to the fact that we are endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable Rights, for those of us who still cling to the concepts of truth and faith, for those of us who understand the proper meanings of liberty and justice, there is no middle ground that we can safely share with our foes. We know that if we are to remain free, we cannot succumb to the illusion that there are any shades of grey. There is only black and white. We will either Live Free, Or Die.

Yes, I know and I understand all too well how those on the left are probably going to portray me and the words I have written here.

I know that they will describe me as an extreme fringe right winger.

I am not. I am actually a centrist in the proper sense of the word. That does not mean that I am a moderate. It means that I am neither an anarchist, nor will I submit to a tyranny. (see my post of Friday, October 9, 2009, titled: “In response to Luigi B”) I will admit to being an extremist in the sense that I am an extreme defender of liberty. Not the false liberty espoused by the left, which is the right of anyone on their side to do whatever they damn well please. Rather I am a defender of the GOD given liberty to do that which is right.

I know that they will call me a terrorist (at least in the making), and/or say that I am encouraging violence.

I am not a terrorist. I will however do all that is required to protect the liberty and the rights, which are given to us by GOD, recognized by the Constitution of the United States of America, and which are supposed to be protected, not threatened, by the people we choose to serve in OUR government.

I am not encouraging, nor do I condone any kind of unnecessary or unwarranted violence. I am only stating the fact that I do not now, nor will I ever, surrender the freedom that GOD has given to all Americans. And I am also promising to fight to protect that GOD given freedom. The only people, who could or should possibly consider that promise to be any kind of a threat, are those people who intend to try to rob my family, my friends and I; of our GOD given, Constitutionally recognized rights.

I also know that, as history has made very clear, one day our foes will reach a point of complete frustration. For now they are content to try to deceive us. They are willing to use the stick and carrot approach to tempt the American people into surrendering their liberty, with promises of a nearly carefree utopian future, and assurances of some supposed benefits, to be provided and guaranteed by a benevolent government. But they will ultimately realize that for some of us, Freedom is far more appealing than their promises. And as history also teaches, at that point, if they have the power to do so, it is likely, if not inevitable, that they will then move to subdue or eliminate us by force. And if that day comes while I am still alive, I intend to keep my promise to them.

I have to say that I simply cannot understand the mindset of left-wingers. How can these duped and misguided souls who cling to and promulgate ideas and concepts that are at best, self-destructive, and generally destructive to everything and everyone they touch.

The following is derived (edited for clarity) from an online discussion in which I was compelled to respond to the naive and self-destructive views of a liberal who, for some unfathomable reason, was trying condemn something that quite simply is not wrong. That being the treatment of the islamo-fascist being held in Guantanamo Bay. As is typically the case with liberals, she was regurgitating the oft heard claims of torture and inhuman treatment of those being held and interrogated. How liberals can whine about the so called “inhumane treatment” of vicious, murdering islamo-fascists, and ignore the real threat, that those being held represent, is quite frankly beyond my capacity to comprehend. As far as I can see, we are treating the vile terrorist scum better than they deserve, and far better than they have treated their captives, their victims, and their own children.

I have read the complaints about and descriptions of the so called torture techniques that have been used on the islamo-fascist held in Gitmo, and for the life of me I have been unable to recognize anything listed in those complaints and descriptions that did, or even could have resulted in any kind of real physical harm or injury. And without real physical harm or injury, resulting from the use of the described techniques, there quite simply is no torture.

Have interrogators played mind games with those being interrogated? Yes, but not in any way that rises to the level of torture.

Have some of the techniques resulted in those anti-America, freedom hating, Christian and Jew killing islamo-fascist experiencing shame? YES, absolutely, and they should feel shame and be put to shame.

I know that liberals have tried to criminalize the concept and use of shame. But that is only because they know their own deeds are sinful and evil, and they do not wish to be put to shame for those deeds.

Do the techniques described and used instill fear into the hearts and minds of these deliberate murders of innocent women and children, and enslavers of the weak and defenseless, these satanic beasts who actually do torture their victims, and that for the sheer pleasure of it? YES! And they should be made to fear. In fact they should be made so fearful that they would rather crawl into a whole in the ground and beg it to collapse in upon them, than to continue in their demonically encouraged acts of inhumanity.

Islamo-fascism is nothing more or less than a killer virus. I will not insult even the lowest form of animal by calling its carriers animals. They are themselves a viral infection. They sweeps out and when possible attack and kill those not yet infected by their virus. When a direct attack upon a people or a particular culture is not feasible, they instead begin to infiltrate and infest that culture. In so doing they sicken and weaken that culture and its people from within. They can then use the resources of that once great culture to wreak havoc and destruction upon any and all others who refuse to kowtow and bow to their false god, and those who reject the seizure generate and/or drug-induced hallucination based teachings of some whack job called mohammed.

They claim their false god’s blessings as they commit evil acts of real torture, as they commit murder, as they enslave once free people, and as they continue to commit their indescribably horrible acts of evil upon the rest of the world. And they do this all in obedience to the delusional proclamations of this so called prophet mohammed.

Like I have already said, islamo-fascism is a killer virus. It has no redeeming traits. And like all such virus, we must do whatever it takes to isolate its carriers; we must use any and all tools at our disposal to insure that it is exterminated. Only then can we, for a little while, breathe a sigh of relief, and live in peace. At least until the next threat to freedom loving people rears its ugly head.

Peace, safety and freedom will never be allowed to exist for long in this world. Satan hates us, if for no other reason than the fact that we are created in the image of GOD. When he looks upon us, he sees the image of the One who cast him down out of Heaven. There will unfortunately always be those dupes and minions of the devil, like the islamo-fascist, who will willingly, if not knowingly, do as Satan leads them to do. They will always be there to threaten the peace, safety and freedom of all others. Therefore, until the day that Jesus Christ returns, we must be ever vigilant, and prepared to do whatever it takes to fight and defeat those who serve as the devil’s tools to punish us for being loved by GOD.

For the war and not for the people?

This post is taken from an online discussion I was involved in; regarding Pat Robertson’s annual Halloween warning. It is not about Robertson, or his view of Halloween. It is my response (with some editing for clarity) about a couple of comments made by a young lady during that discussion.

Yes, sometimes he does, in much the same way that PBS, NPR, Greenpeace, PETA, etc, do.
But as long as people want to send them money, they have the right to do so.

First, I am not a big supporter of Pat Robertson , but I do know that he and his organization (especially Operation Blessing ) have done more good, and helped far more people in need than B.O. and the entire socialist agenda of the democrats ever have.

Next, let me say that I am an Independent Conservative voter. I vote based on GOD guided principles, and not the party line. But your comments about “2 examples of typical republicans” require a response.

I think I will start with the “not for the people” part of your comment.

To be for the people, you must first protect and defend their right to keep that which is rightfully theirs. The property that they own and which they wish to use as they see fit, and the money that they have earned by taking risks, and putting forth the effort involved in presenting some new idea, producing some desired product and/or providing some needed service.

And please do not try to feed me the socialist line about how some people “have too much” or “no one needs or deserves to have as much as (insert your pet target here) has”.

If a person’s customers or clients did not think that what they were getting was worth the price they were paying, then they would not pay that price. They would instead take their money elsewhere to get the products or services that they need or want. That is how a free system works. That is why it is possible for a young upstart to come along with a better product at a better price, and in a matter of a few years be more successful than the original provider, and consequently be worth more than most people will ever see in a lifetime. And that is a blessing given by GOD to the American people.

How wealthy a person becomes, or what he or she does with his or her money is not the business of anyone else. It is especially not the business of the government. Liberals and other whiners really need to learn to leave it up to GOD to judge whether or not a person has enough, and is using his or her wealth wisely. GOD and GOD alone is all knowing and wise enough to make that determination.

But the basic point here is that if people do not think that what is being offered is worth the price being asked, then they do not have to buy it. That is what happened to the big three auto makers in this country. The people decided that what GM, Chrystler and Ford had to offer was not worth the price they were demanding for the product. So the American people stopped buying their cars, and took their money to the import car makers, who were offering the quality and price that the American people were looking for.

As a result, the big three found themselves floundering and on the verge of complete failure. But then the democrats realized that “OH NO! If the American automakers go under, we will loose all those UNION jobs.” And of course, that would mean that all that UNION money, that would have been given to support the socialist agenda, would dry up and be lost,

The democrats could not allow that to happen. So they launched a horrific propaganda campaign and managed to convince a lot of people that the big three were simply too big to be allowed to fail. Thus came the bailouts, which were strapped onto out backs, and the backs of our children and our grand children. As a result we and our posterity are condemned to bear the burden of saving democrat votes.

Thank GOD, Ford did not accept the bailout money, or the burden would have been even worse. It also looks like Ford might have gotten the message the America car buying public was sending. They seem to be making the changes their customers want to see them make. But only time will tell for sure.

And let’s not forget how the socialists, who have owned and controlled the democratic party, at least since the McGovern campaign, were even more diabolical and cruel in the way they destroyed and then moved in to take over our financial institutions. And then there are the socialist efforts to drag America’s medical care down to the level of a second, or if possible a third, world nation. Unfortunately, I do not have enough time to cover all that right now.

It should be obvious to any clear minded, right thinking individual that it is the socialist dominated democrats, and left leaning Rockefeller republicans that do not care about the people. Conservative republicans understand that the best thing that government can do for the people, is to remove the shackles from their wrists and ankles, and stop stealing what is rightfully theirs.

Now I will address your claim that the republicans are “for war”.

No one ever really wants to go to war, despite the deliberate lies told by left-wingers. But the republicans have learned from history something that apparently the democrats are, or at least have been, incapable of learning, that being the fact that the only way to avoid a war is to be prepared and committed to the complete and utter annihilation of any and all would-be enemies foolish enough to threaten or act against your nation, and/or way of life.

Only then will all sane opponents choose to live at peace with you. Only then can those insane enough to actually strike at you be quickly and completely eliminated as a future threat. Only strength, and the credible promise to use it can maintain peace.

As an analogy, I remember how when I was still in school; we were told to not confront or fight with a bully, or we would be given detention, or worse be suspended. We were told instead that we should report the bully to a teacher or an administrator. But if someone actually did report a bully, all that ever happened was that the bully would be called into the principal’s or dean’s office and given a warning about possible detention or some other empty threat. Empty because everyone, including the bully, knew all too well that unless an administrator or teacher actually witnessed the bully commit an assault, the school was powerless to do anything to the bully. And the bully was ususlly to smart to do anything in front of a teacher or administrator.

However, now the bully was angered by being dragged to the office, and reprimanded. He thus became even more vicious in his attacks upon his victims. The only kids that the bully would leave alone were those who had decided that it was worth facing a few cuts and bruises, and the possibility of suspension, to actually stand up too and fight the bully. Win, loose or draw, the bully would usually decide to look for easier prey, and thus leave the kid who stood up to him alone from that day forward.

History has proven that the same holds true for the nations of the world. If threatened a nation cannot back down. If attacked, it must respond with enough force to make the attacker pay more dearly that it has. And if the attacker does not then back down, the nation being attacked must utterly destroy its attacker. Only then can that nation return to a peaceful stance. Only then will other nations realize that it is not worth the price and loss that they would experience should they ever choose to attack that nation.

No Respect

It has been a busy few days for me, at least when it comes to debating with liberals. Over the next day or two I will be posting three items (edited for clarity and spelling) that I wrote in response to comments made by a couple of left-wingers.

The following is the first of the three. It resulted from an online discussion about Senator Boxer telling Brigadier General Michael Walsh to call her senator rather than using the appropriate military protocol and calling her Ma’am (See video at bottom of post). A liberal involved in the discussion insisted that as a senator, Boxer deserved more respect, than the general, or some of us involved in the discussion were giving her.

The fact is that Senator (Ma’am) Boxer, like all the rest of the socialist, one-worlders, will never respect those of us who still prefer to trust our Father GOD for our daily bread and other needs, rather than rely upon our Uncle Sam. They instead choose to insult and belittle those of us who still believe in the sound and GODly principles upon which this Great nation was founded.

They call us astro-turf , when in fact it is they who actually represent an artificial and empty claim of concern for the well-being of this country and its people.

They call us hicks, though we know, understand and respect the founding principles of this great nation, while they at best, demonstrate an ignorance of our Constitution, and at worst, an absolute contempt for it.

They call us racist, despite the facts that, it is they who are always the first to look at and notice the race of an individual, it is they who are always playing the race card, and it is their leader (B.O.) who never uttered a single word of protest during the twenty plus years that he sat under the teaching and guidance of an unrepentant racist, the Marxist Rev. Wright.

They call us terrorist, but it is they who hire union thugs to threaten and beat their opponents when we refuse to submit to their edicts, and it is they who threaten the very concept of freedom of speech and of the press of anyone who dares to point the finger of truth at them.

They call us Nazis, yet it is they who are attempting to replace our free republic with a government controlled fascist state.

They call us cowboys, and complain that we are not willing to sit idly by and just talk nice to our nation’s enemies when they murder our family members, friends and fellow Americans. Well even they have to be right once in a while.

As long as they continue to refuse to respect our Constitution,

As long as they refuse to respect our founding fathers who, guided by GOD’s own hand, gave us the first truly free country in the history of the world,

As long as they refuse to respect us, and treating us like so much insignificant trash, to be swept out of their way,

As long as they continue to think and act as they have been thinking and acting, then there is no good reason why we should treat them with any respect what-so-ever. In fact there is no good reason why we should treat them with anything other than complete and utter contempt.

I am so tired of hearing it. The constant whining of groups like the Southern Poverty Law Center, the National Council of La Raza (“The Race” now if that isn’t a racist name for an organization what is?) and so many other left-wing organizations, as they defend illegal aliens as being generally good, law abiding people, who are only trying to provide a better life for their families and themselves. And it sickens me when these groups demanding that these so called “good people” be treated with respect and given citizenship, or at least legal residency status.

I have said it before and I will continue to say it again and again until those who are in power finally come to grips with the truth.

Illegal aliens are not generally good, otherwise law abiding people. They are invaders, lawbreakers and criminals!

They sneak into and remain in this country in direct defiance of our emigration laws. Then they use forged, stolen or otherwise illegally acquired documents to…

* Create false identities
* Obtain jobs they have no right too
* Unlawfully drive automobiles,
* Fraudulently create bank accounts,
* Dishonestly acquire credit cards, loans and mortgages,
* And (far too often) to illicitly vote in our elections.

The recent events involving the home of Lou Dobbs of CNN only serve to amplify the need to deal with the problem.

These invaders, lawbreakers and criminals need to be rounded up, loaded into the back of a large cargo plain, and drop off over the capitol of their home country. And just to keep the process as humanitarian as possible, if they can afford a parachute, we should sell them one.

As for the people and groups that are providing aid and comfort to illegal aliens, they should be treated like the traitorous violators of our sovereignty and laws that they are.

A Time for Choosing

While listening to the Rush Limbaugh show today, I was reminded that this week marks the 45th anniversary of Ronald Reagan’s “A Time for Choosing” speech, which he made on a number of occasions, during the 1964 U.S. presidential election campaign, on behalf of Republican candidate Barry Goldwater.

It was this speech that established Mr. Reagan, in the minds of many, as a living personification of the conservative viewpoint. Not surprisingly, his words are as fitting and important today as they were the first time he spoke them.

Teachers Need To Learn Just Who Is In Charge

A few days ago, in response to a facebook survey question (“Should we put God back In schools?”) a friend of mine answered “Yes” (as did I) and went on to post the following comment:

“Take prayer out, tell kids their ancestors were chimpanzees, provide them with condoms and stress feeling over thinking and sensitivity over excellence and what do you get? Drugs, teen pregnancy, school shootings, low test scores, illiteracy, and every other social ill we see today.”

Although I could not see the response to his comments left by one particular liberal extremist (she had barred me because of a prior discussion in which I crushed her false liberal assertions), it was quite obvious from what my friend had written back, that she had taken offense at his words and that she was spewing all the typical liberal diatribes in defense of the public schools and teachers. Thing like…

* Most teachers are dedicated but all teachers poorly paid professionals.
* Public schools cannot pick and choose who they will and will not take.
* Conservatives are to blame for any and all of the failing that might exist in the public schools.
* Etcetera and so on and blah, blah, blah…

I infer from what my friend wrote in his responses that this particular liberal is a public school teacher (forgive us LORD GOD). I am sure most of you reading this have had to deal with a bad teacher or three over the years, and have heard the kinds of excuses they always used to explain away their inability to do the job they are paid to do.

Although my friend was doing a fine job of correcting her typical fact deficient liberal claims; I had to throw in my two cents. At his recommendation, I am posting my comments below.

Now please understand that I know that there are good teachers out there. I had three or four of them out of the forty plus teachers that I had over my K-12 school years . So if you are one of those few public school teachers, who actually is dedicated to education rather than indoctrination, and who has rightly refused to teach the likes of…
* Revisionist, blame America first, history,
* That evolution is the only scientifically sound theory of origins,
* That socialism is a good thing, or at least not a bad thing,
* That GOD has no place in the public forum,
* That there are few if any moral absolutes
* Unfounded self esteem rather than actual hard work and accomplishment,
* Other such nonsense,
and you have resisted and/or fought your union’s efforts to bankrupt the tax payers in this country, then know that the following was not intended as an attack on you. It is aimed squarely at those supporters and puppets of the liberal teacher's union and their anti-American, anti-Christian policies.

Hi John, I suspect I know who you are debating, since her comments do not appear on my page. She has already demonstrated that she cannot defend her liberal positions, and proven herself to be too cowardly to face one on one with anyone who knows what they are talking about, and has the courage and ability to fight and defeat her liberal agenda.

The simple fact is that far too many teachers and all of their unions have little or no interest in actually educating OUR children or helping them learn how to think. They are in fact dedicated sole to indoctrinating our children with their left wing, anti-GOD, anti-American propaganda, and telling them what to think. They see their classrooms as the new pulpits from which they proclaim their way as the one true way. They believe that it is their job to repair the damage done by parental teachings about right and wrong, good and evil, truth and justice. The are the willing servants of a spirit of anti-Christ which is trying to drag this, the greatest nation that GOD has ever raised up in the history of the world, to the same level of decay and failure that Europe has fallen into since abandoning its Christian roots.

What we need is a parental uprising. Teachers need to be taught that they are not our superiors, they are our employees. We are their employers, and they keep their jobs by our consent, not because their unions say they do. “We the people” are in charge of what they will and will not teach. They have no academic freedom to do whatever they want to do. It is the parents and the parents alone who have the right to decide what should and should not be taught, what is and what is not right and good for their children to do, see and learn at any point in the child’s schooling.

Responsibility for education should and must be returned to the local communities. The state should be permitted (only the most) restricted input into the process, and only by the consent of the parents. And the federal government should be allowed no input what so ever.

It is long past time for the American people in general, and parents in particular, to rise up and make it loud and clear to the elitist left, and anyone else who thinks they know better than we do, that it is “We the people” who are in charge, and that elected office holders, appointed bureaucrats, and all of their hirelings (and that includes teachers) are our servants, they are not our masters, and they had better start doing what “We the people” tell them to do.

Playing the Fear Card Again

The leftists of the world have always bombarded the people of the world with warnings of impending doom and destruction. This weekend, another left wing warning was issued, this time by Gordon Brown, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Leader of the British Labour Party. He warned in a speech, that the nations of the world had "fewer than fifty days" to reach an agreement on how to save our planet from the devastating effects of “man-made climate change”. According to Brown, if the nations fail to do so, the resulting impact of our human civilization upon the Earth will be “greater than the impact of both world wars and the Great Depression combined”.

How much more ridiculous can liberal claims get?

I guess I am not really surprised. I mean this kind of foolish proclamation is not something new. In fact scare tactics like the supposedly sad state of our medical care systems, and the “global warming hoax” the PM is using, have been utilized by leftist for as long as I can remember. And I have a pretty good memory. They throw the fear card on the table whenever they want to make a power grab. And they always want to make a power grab.

They do so because if they can keep the people afraid, they will be more easily convinced to allow, and in fact likely to demand, that something, anything, be done to remove the cause of the fear. In theory, this enables liberals to do virtually anything they want to do, under the guise of course, of dealing with the cause of the people’s fear. And it won’t matter how unnecessary or, as is more commonly true, harmful what the liberals intend to do will probably be in the long run. Liberals have learned all too well that fear is a wild card that can and should enable them to play their hand boldly; and by doing so, steal our country and our freedoms from us, with a minimum of resistance.

However, the theory isn't perfect, and the liberals do face some very real problems that they have never really been able to overcome when playing their fear cards. What are those problems? They are the Christians who actually know and believe the word of GOD. You see, Biblically literate Christians understand something that liberals are incapable of clearly seeing, let alone understanding. And just what is it that these Christians understanding, that liberals do not and cannot understand? Simply this…

We know that fear is the opposite of faith, and we know that GOD is with us always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20). Therefore we really do not have anything to fear. We also know that human beings, and the things that human beings do, or do not do, are not the final determiner of what will and will not happen on this planet, especially not when, or how this world will come to its eventual end.

Ultimately, the history and destiny of this planet rests sole in the hands of our Father GOD. HE and HE alone can and will decide what is going to happen in, and too, this world. The day and the hour is not, and cannot be, known by any human being on this planet. (Matthew 25:13) Until GOD decides that it is time for it all to end, there is nothing that we mere humans can do that will destroy this planet, or the life that lives upon it. And when GOD says that this world’s time is up, there will be nothing that we can do that can or will prevent the end from happening.

So if you know people who are afraid because of something said by some liberal, who is playing one of their many fear cards, remind them who it is that is actually in charge of this world. If they do not know our LORD, then introduce them to HIM.

If they remain a bit nervous, then remind them that liberals have been WRONG about virtually, if not absolutely, every terrible thing that they have warned us would happen unless we allow them to take control of this thing, or that thing, or better yet, everything.

For example, remind them how when Jimmy (the worthless one) Carter was running for his second term in office, liberals tried using several fear cards to prevent Ronald Reagan from defeating their peanut brained pride and joy. I personally had more than one liberal tell me that “if Ronald Reagan gets elected, our cities will be torn apart by race riots” and that “a Reagan presidency would most assuredly result in a nuclear war erupting between the United States and the Soviet Union, thus bringing about the end of the world.

Fortunately the liberal fear tactics did not work and (Thank you GOD) Ronald Reagan was elected. And guess what happened, or more to the point what didn’t happen. The predicted riots in the streets did not happen. Nor did the world end in a nuclear war between the US and the USSR. Instead President Reagan, with the help of people like Margret Thatcher, and Pope John Paul II, brought the evil soviet empire to the point of its inevitable and unstoppable collapse. And he accomplished it without firing a single shot.

Or for another example tell them about the predictions of such intellectual giants as actor Ted Danson. Back in 1988 Danson made an ominous proclamation. He said that we had only ten years to save our planet’s oceans or it would be too late. Hmmmm… Using a little simple arithmetic, it is quite easy to see that twenty years have passed since Mr. Danson originally made this dire warning, and as far as I can see, the oceans are still there, and they seem to still be fairly well.

The simple truth is that, as are our day to day lives, as with all things in Heaven and on Earth, the end of the world is in GOD’s hands. So ignore the fear mongers, take a deep breath, trust in GOD and praise HIM. (Psalms 46:10)

My stepson serves aboard one of our nations great aircraft carriers. Thanks to him; I know a tiny bit about what our current air and sea power are capable of doing. I also know how important it is for the White House, the Senate and the House of Representatives to authorize the funding needed to "provide for the common defense". This is after all the single most important responsibility that our government has.

Unfortunately the party currently in power has not only failed us in this respect, it has actively worked in opposition to that responsibility. They have cut needed funding for needed equipment, and canceled new weapons and systems that would not only better enable our best and brightest (the young men and women who bravely and selflessly serve in our armed forces) to carry out the necessary task that we ask them to do (to protect and defend this country and the values and liberties that we hold dear), but to do so with a greater chance of coming home safe and sound.

"We the people" need to hold them to account for this. We need to insist that they do an about-face. We need to demand that our taxes no longer be wasted on social programs that not only do not, can not and will not help, but will in fact do more harm than good. We need to order them (they are after all supposed to be our servants, not our masters) to redirect those tax dollars toward strengthening our military capability, and defeating the enemies of this, the greatest nation that GOD has ever raised up in the history of the world.

What a Sad Sad Joke

It seems that a group of his European worshipers have announced that they are awarding their savior (B.O.) the Nobel Peace Prize for his “extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples”. This news would have had me rolling on the floor in laughter; if it wasn’t for the fact that it only goes to prove just how far the state of the world has degenerated.

So just what has B.O. done to earn this award?

Well let’s see, he has…
1) Apologized to the world for the fact that they have been unable to achieve the greatness that (by GOD's grace and blessing) the United States of America has been able to achieve.
2) Instituted programs that will burden the American people with an un-repayable debt for generations to come.
3) Been working to institue additional programs, taxes and laws that will further burden the American people, limit or eliminate their GOD given liberties and punish them for their exceptional achievements.
4) Taken steps to bring the United States of America more in line with, and under the direct influence and (if possible) control of failed European policies and policy makers.
5) Cut programs and eliminated systems that would help insure the security of the United States of America, and her citizens.
6) Emboldened the enemies of the United States of America, and her citizens, with soft words and a refusal to take the necessary military measure to defeat those enemies and destroy their abilities to do us harm.

So I guess it is not a real surprise that a bunch of euro-weenies would want to give their messiah this once meaningful award. But it is sad. Very very sad.

Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment.

I’m sorry, but you are only half right. The NAZIs were indeed fascist, but fascism is simple one end (the right end if you prefer) of the socialist spectrum. Communism would then be on the left end of the socialist spectrum.

The word NAZI refers to “National Socialism” (German: Nationalsozialismus), and refers to ideology and practices of the “National SOCIALIST German Workers' Party”.

As for the NAZIs being considered to be being on the right end of the overall political spectrum, this is an erroneous representation, based on an misguided attempt to place democracy somewhere between communism and fascism.

If you really want to try to do this, you would be better off replacing the straight line with an incomplete circle open at the bottom. Communism could then be placed on the bottom of the circle, on the left side of the opening, democracy could be placed on the top of the circle, directly opposite the opening, and fascism could then be placed on the bottom of the circle, but on the right side of the opening. This would better represent the concept you make reference to, as well as showing that communism and fascism are really just two sides of an empty ideology, I.E. socialism.

A more accurate representation of the political spectrum would position communism, fascism, and other forms of totalitarian governments, on one side of the spectrum (lets call it the left side), democracies and republics somewhere near the center, and absolute anarchy on the opposite side (lets call it the right side).

The next time you hear some misguides individual say that “Left is right and right is wrong”, look them straight in the eye and say:

Like all typical liberals, you look at the world though a mirror so that, while you observe what’s going on, you can also admire your own reflection, and how insightful and compassionate you think you are. However, it never dawns on you that the world as you see it in that mirror, at is backwards.

With that as our guide, Americans have typically demonstrated that they are willing to live in peace with anyone who will let us do so. But those who refuse to live at peace with us and our friends; must understand that there are no limits on how far we can or will go to defeat them.

It is better to be called a cowboy by the appeasers and pacifist on the left, than it is to kowtow and bow to the enemies of this country, and to those who wish to take away our rights and freedoms. So when they call you a cowboy, tell them you will wear the label with pride.

Liberal Interpretations #1

This is the first of what I hope to be several pieces that I intend to write and post in an attempt to correct as many liberal misrepresentations and misapplications of scripture as I can. This first post is in response to a comment I read a short while back.

The two most important rules that I ever learned about Bible study are:

#1: A proof text, out of context, is a pretext.
#2: Let the Bible interpret itself

In other words, individual passages of scripture must be understood within its particular context, and within the context of the rest of the scriptures. These are not some esoteric principles, known and used by only the most deep thinking seminary trained individuals. They are simple common sense rules, and by following them it is possible to avoid misunderstanding and/or misapplying the scriptures.

So why is it that I all too often, I hear some liberal pull a passage completely out of context to prove some outrageous claims like “Jesus would be considered a liberal by today’s standards”, or “the Bible teaches liberalism and/or socialism", or "the Bible preaches against conservatism and/or capitalism” or some other such nonsense .

* Side Note: Interestingly, these same liberals will often scream bloody murder whenever a conservative references the Bible for any reason.

Just a week or two ago, I read a comment from a man who claimed that Matthew 25:41-46 says that conservative would be cast into hell (because they oppose the socialist agenda of B.O.) and that only liberals would go to heaven. However, if you look up those versus and read them for yourself, you will not recognize his interpretation of them. To make the point even more clear, read the entire passage, starting from Matthew 25:31 and ending with Matthew 25:46.

* NOTE: To make this easier I will append the referenced verses at the end of this post.

The passage does not say that those who supported the government taking of money, goods or property without the rightful owners consent, and redistributing a portion of them to those who are “in need” will be welcomed into Heaven. Nor does it say that those who opposed the government enforced “redistribution of the wealth” will be cast into Hell.

What is does say is that Jesus will set the sheep (those who have accepted his sacrifice and gift of salvation) on his right and the goats (those who did not accept his sacrifice and gift) on his left.

* Side Note: I have always found it interesting that liberals are proud of being on the political left, while they bash conservatives for being on the right. This may be of no Biblical significance, but it is interesting all the same.

He then says to those on his right that they are blessed by His Father, and are to enter into His Father's Kingdom. He reminds them that when they took in the homeless, fed the hungry, cared for the sick, and clothed the naked, amongst the least of His brethren, they were in fact doing so to Him.

Next He tells the goats to depart into the everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels, and tell them that they did nothing for Him because they did not take in the homeless, feed the hungry, care for the sick or cloth the naked, amongst His brethren.

Now consider the oft promulgated proposal that liberals are more charitable and more willing to care for and do something about the needs of the poor and downtrodden. This lie, is roundly and soundly disproved by the facts. Let me recommend a good book on the subject titled:

"Who Really Cares: The Surprising Truth About Compassionate Conservatism"
By Arthur Brooks, a professor at Syracuse University

The facts show that conservatives are far more likely to open their own homes, give of their own time and reach into their own pockets to help those in need. They are more likely to take in the homeless, feed the hungry, and take care of the sick, and cloth the naked, and give blood for that matter.

Liberals on the other hand are more likely to rely on the government to reach into the pockets of others, via fees, fines and taxes, to pay for government programs that have historically proven to be inefficient at best, and more often than not, detrimental to those they supposedly created to help.

In closing I want to say that I am in no way claiming that all this proves that liberals are all destined for Hell, or that conservatives deserve to go to Heaven. The point is that no GOD fearing, Bible believing Christian would make that kind of stupid blanket statement. The fact is that GOD will make the decision of who goes where based on who has repented of their sins and excepted Jesus Christ as their Savior, and who has not. I am so sick and tired of the attempts of liberals, many of whom do not have a sincere respect for the Bible, Jesus Christ or GOD the Father, to distort and twist the Word of GOD so as to mislead the Biblically illiterate into thinking that they (the liberals) are the only ones who care about those in need.

Mommy-state threatens good neighbor

Wow, what a surprise, another example of typical left-wing attitudes and intentions.

A woman was simply being a good neighbor, by allowing a couple of neighborhood kids to wait in her home for the morning school bus. And how is she rewarded for this? She is being threatened by the “Department of Human Resources” with fines and possible jail time unless she gets government permission (I.E. a license to run a daycare) to do so.

The mommy state is once again reaching out to interfere with, and punish Americans who dare to stand upon their own two feet, and help each other out. How dare these parents find their own solutions to problems? How dare they not turn to and rely upon the government?

Unfortunately, the Appeaser and Thief, currently occupying the White House, his henchmen in congress and all those all the way down the line of office holders and bureaucratic co-conspirators, apparently do not understand the proper role of government. They, aided by the missguided sycophant worshipers of B.O, are advancing the idea that it is the government’s job to be our mommy and daddy. They are convinced that “We the people” are simply not capable of taking care of ourselves, or dealing with our own problems, unless they guide and direct us in making the right(?) decisions.

Therefore they, the leftist elite, must take control over the “needs” of the people. And they, the all wise masters, must take charge of our medical care and, as time passes, providing our food, our shelter and every other perceived “need”. And they, the all knowing guides, need to tell us what type of vehicles we can drive, what kinds of light bulbs we can use, and what foods we can eat. And they, the “blame America first” democrats are the only ones who can determine who are and who really are not our enemies and how do deal with them. And they, the self-superior socialists, are the only ones who should be allowed to decide what decisions “We the people” should be allowed to make for ourselves.

But the truth is that, “We the people” do not need the governmental to be our mommy and daddy. “We the people” do not need the government to tell us what is right or wrong. “We the people” do not need the government to provide us with a place to lay our heads, or to “give us this day our daily bread”. We the people” already have our Father, GOD, to rely on for those things. And unlike the government, our Father, GOD, will never fail us, and will never makes a mistake.

The only things that we need the government for are clearly and simply outlined in the preamble to our Constitution.

It is really pitiful how easily B.O. (and liberals in general) can bald face lie to the American people, and feel no shame or fear of being held to account. This is in part due to the fact that the Obamanites, (as opposed to the Jedi knights) who all but worship the "dark Force" of B.O's Imperial persona, respond to any resistance to, or correction of, their messiah's words and actions in their usual kneejerk fashion. They cry racist, and/or they play on class envy, by asking: "Don't you care about the under-privileged"?

Under-privileged? I suppose they mean in comparison to the "Privileged”. You know who we are. That's right, they are talking about us. "We the people” who work hard to feed, cloth, and shelter our families, and purchase those niceties that we wish to have to make our lives a bit easier and more pleasant. "We the people" who invent and develop new products, who create new markets, and who take risks to start and build new businesses. Products, markets and businesses that result in the creation of new jobs. Jobs that make it possible for others to work and earn; so that they too can feed, cloth, and shelter their families, and purchase things that they wish to have. "We the people" who have earned what is rightfully ours.

I'm sorry; but I don't know what privilege has to do with this. We are not talking about privilege. We are talking about the right of "We the people" to keep what is rightful ours.

Recently I had a run-in with an obamanite who claimed that just because "We the people" are opposed to how B.O. intends to finance his programs on our backs, does not make his doing so "theft".

My response was something to the fact that not only are taxes and fees that are imposed by the government in opposition to the will of "We the people" definitive examples of theft (the act of taking money, goods or property without the rightful owners consent), they are in fact definitive examples of robbery (the act of taking money, goods or property, without the consent of the rightful owner, by use of violence, or by putting the rightful owner in fear).

But then, the socialists have redefined the concept of "work and earn" as "evil greedy self interest". So it should come as no surprise to anyone that they would also redefine "theft" and "robbery" as the poetic sounding "from each according to their ability, to each according to their needs".

They like to portray themselves as the modern equivalent to Robin Hood who they say took from the rich to give to the poor. But wait a minute! That is not exactly what Robin Hood did. In fact what he really did was to take back from the corrupt and power mad ruling class, to give back to those who were wrongfully subjected to unreasonable taxation and the suspension of their GOD given rights to life, liberty and property.

I will confess that I am using generalized definitions for the terms "theft" and "robbery". But then the socialist agenda of B.O. and his ilk represent a very real and specific threat to the freedom and liberty of "We the people" who are the citizens of the United States of America. So I think I am justified in doing that.

By the way, what do you think will happen to the American idea and tradition of working your way up to a "better life", if the government is allowed to take from you anything more than it has determined that you have earned (as B.O has demonstrated his willingness to do), and gives to "the under-privileged" only what the government deems to be what they need. Do you really think anyone will ever be allowed to achieve and enjoy anything more than a subsistence living standard? History says NO! You won't!

Dear Illinois,

Greeting to my fellow citizens of the sovereign state of Illinois,

I come to you with some disturbing (though not surprising) news. Apparently, both of our current senators, Roland Burris and Dick Durbin voted against the halting of federal funds going to ACORN.

The only conclusion I can come to is that they both believe that it is perfectly okay to use taxpayer money to set up prostitution rings, smuggle illegal immigrants into this country and traffic in under age sex slaves.

Be sure to contact senators Burris (http://burris.senate.gov/contact/contact.cfm) and Durbin (http://durbin.senate.gov/contact.cfm), and let them know just how you feel about your tax dollars going to the corrupt organization.

While you are at it, make a note to yourself not to forget about this; the next time either of these men comes up for election.

Dick Durbin is sure to run for re-election to what he considers "his" seat in the senate, though in fact it belongs to the citizens of Illinois. And although Roland Burris has apparently decided not to run for re-election as an Illinois senator, as a career politician, he is sure to eventually run for some other office, so file this issue in mind under the heading of "unworthy politicians".
